Latest News On Google Pay Per Aquisition (PPA)

Google came out with PPA model! This could be the next big thing for advertiser who want to maximise their profit return.
So What Excatly is Google PPA?
Well, Google Pay Per Aquisition (PPA) is a new model.
Instead of paying per click, or per impression on content network ads, adwords advertiser only pay if the user completes an action that has been pre-defined such as buying a product, opt-in to get a free report, click on an affiliate link on the destination age and etc.
For now, Google has released this PPA model to advertisers who use conversion
tracking and have over 500 conversions from cost per click or cost per
impression based campaigns in the last month. Well beginner might have to wait for awhile before gaining access and playing with this new toy.
People who ‘gets it’ first might or might not benefits as much as they need to re-adjust their ads campaign and redo their return on investment calculation. In general, not much discussion was heard of as of now.
I believe Google is using this pools of people who met their criteria to do some raw testing. And base on the results fine tune the minimum we need to pay for such service.
If you’re on Adwords, you should know the competition pool is growing bigger and bigger each day. The concept of paying for the right type of action taken by your visitors can be applied to your products marketing as well.
For example, I can think re-model this model by paying my visitors for every 100 visitors who opted in to my mailing, a 25 cents per opt-in and on their 2nd-tier a 5 cents per visitor.
In such manner, you can grow you list faster than advertising on google adwords. (Sorry if you’re an adwords fan, I can’t help it but I would rather pay my visitors directly than to pay google.)
Another crazy idea I have is to pay my visitors to click on the affiliate links on my site. Per click (limited to 3 clicks per ip address per day) and link forwarded to one of their friend, they get a certain amount of money. When their friend click on it, they get another 2nd tier payout if their friends buy they get a potion of my affiliate commission, say 75%.
Eventually the theory of the more you give to your visitors, the more you ‘make’ still will work the same way. Plus the viral part which is totally zero cost advertisement.
To be honest, google adwords is not my type of game, I won’t be trying this service out any sooner.
Let me know how well this new service has helped you in your promotion effort (if you ever try this service).
