To be honest, you need to set your goals into what you want to achieve from promoting any product. Some affiliates only promote products in their niche while others only promote products that pay them the most amount of commission. Know which works for you.

What products should you promote?

With regards to what products to promote, there are various ebooks written that recommended testing the products sell thru by using Google Adwords or paid campaign. Well, don’t get me wrong, they are correct. But I would prefer rely on ‘Google Alert’ to tell me how many affiliates are actively promoting the product.

Set up your own Google Alerts and put in the product name as keywords. If you’re getting tons of email daily, meaning people are promoting and making money from this product. Refer to resource page for the url for setting up Google Alerts.
